His, Her, Him… which one?

This homework uses situations from your recent classes — Gregory, movies, the woman at work, her friend, English at home — to make a few small words more automatic when you speak.

A woman at work showed Alice a photo of her friend. Her friend had beautiful white hair. Alice complimented her and tried to keep the conversation going.

Same word, different job: her friend ≠ complimented her.

English at home

Gregory has used English for years. Many of his games, movies and books are in English. When Alice does not understand something, she sometimes asks him. She wants to feel more comfortable speaking English with him.

Again: his movies ≠ ask him.
